Nozawa Sushi & Hibachi

Stopped by for dinner on a Wednesday evening and was seated right away and served water. Ordered the salted edamame and received it with waay too much salt, unfortunately. However, the rest of our meal was great. The miso soup was salty and flavorful. There were many great options for gluten-free sushi rolls on the basic and also speciality menu. My favorite was the sesame crust tuna roll. My wife ordered salmon, tuna and shrimp nigiri and ended up ordering a couple more pieces because it was so delicious. The fish was very fresh. And the service was very attentive. This was our second visit to this place and we’ve had a consistently good experience with the food and service.

We went here for dinner with my children, age 13 and 15. The 15-yr old wanted to order from the kids menu. But they told us they have a policy that only children under 10 can order from kids menu. This policy is not found on their website, nor on their menu. I asked to speak with the manager. He was not available. They could not offer any other consideration, nor make an exception. Sorry, but this is very unprofessional. My child had to order an adult portion, which is not ideal because I'm gluten sensitive and he is not. We do our research before making reservations, so we can avoid surprises. But this restaurant has a hard policy about ordering from kids meny, and they couldn't explain why its in place, nor why its not published.
