Wife is coeliac. Asked if the chips were gluten free and if the oil they are fried in too. Was told yes. Her meal arrived with boiled potatoes smothered in butter without a word. They decided to switch due to being uncertain about the chips. She was glutened so we had to leave early from her parents golden wedding anniversary. The staff and manager didn't really seem to care. Apparently the chef who is knowledgeable about allergies had left.
I see that I have a response calling me a liar. We were told that the chips are GF and my wife always asks if the oil used is GF or is not used for anything else. Shame on you. We have contacted your head office plus Trading Standards over this issue. You are definitely not to be trusted.
