Oat Coffee Brick Lane

Oat is an absolute hidden gem if you’re GF/DF. They have GF oat milk and an array of absolutely phenomenal GF/DF cakes that are made from scratch by the owner and her daughter. This place is a HUGE find!

Great vibes and a local go to for good coffee. Not the best gluten free matcha cookie; good flavour but quite sandy in texture which isn’t great especially when it cost £9 for a coffee and a cookie (bit extortionate actually). The other bakes and some gluten free stuff I’ve tried accidentally are actually pretty good. I do think explaining that it’s gf was an attempt to excuse the texture as if that’s what I should expect for gf bakes. On top of that, I was told to maybe not cut it though it was quite thick and looked ok to cut, but should’ve come with instructions if you think you can’t split a cookie with a knife. It looked bad after cutting because it fell apart quickly. I’ve never had a gf cookie like it (after school cookie club cookies as reference are what I think of for gf cookies). I did ask to swap it which they gave.

Excellent variety of food. Catered for vegan, veggie, coeliac and kids. Great atmosphere, relaxed and friendly. Nice loos!
