Honestly have gone to this place a couple of times and never had an issue before. Though this time went with a friend who has a celiac disease (medically diagnosed allergy to gluten)
The service they had was poor as although they offer gluten free options on their menus due, after my friend was double checking found out that the food listed were not in fact gluten free. For example the chip listed as gluten free available were not in fact gluten free as the man explained when asked if they had a separate fryer they were cooked with batter fish (the oil was contaminated with wheat). She then opted for a grilled fish burger gluten free. Though my food came her food took another 30mins. As it was sunny we waited inside for her food. Though as we were waiting we saw the workers proceed to make 2 burgers, the buns were the exact same. One ended up being my friend ‘gluten free’ bun and the other for another customer. When she received her order she ask again to confirm it was gluten free. And they were confused and she ask again, did it have a gluten free bun. Then the worker replied with an unconvincing yes. Although my friend said it would be fine like she check multiple times. Anywho after eating she became very ill later and the day due to consuming the burger. She had nothing else only the burger by the time she was sick all afternoon.
What I hope is understood through this is that if your food is not gluten free don’t advertise it as gluten free. If workers don’t understand how to prepare gluten free food, teach them or simply do not provide gluten free options.
