What a great find! Firstly loved the relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant & welcoming staff. The smells of delicious food in the air and a chef making fresh pasta. We all shared the croquettes (aubergine, nduja, ricotta salata & honey) we liked them that much we ordered a second plate. Most of the pasta dishes are available gluten free so I had the Corzetti (Wild Mushroom, House Pork Sausage, Port) which was wonderful! They made a GF clam pasta & we had two of the other pasta dishes. A lovely meal and good drink options too for a good price. If I’m in the area again I’ll be visiting for sure 👌🏻

I ate there for a Christmas lunch with my colleagues from a neurodivergent recruitment agency I volunteer for. One of my colleagues and I notified the restaurant of any special dietary requirements prior to arrival and the restaurant staff did their best to cater to those requirements. I am cutting down on my dairy and gluten intake, one colleague is vegetarian, and another is vegan. My colleagues and I chose the 4-course Christmas menu that was £35 per head. I was given some olives as my first course instead of bread but I don’t like olives, so some of my colleagues shared them. My second course was heirloom tomato salad without the ricotta, which was delicious. It more than made up for the disappointment of receiving the olives as my first course. I waited a long time for my third course to be served due to my dietary requirements. It was gluten-free penne pasta with what I thought was a pistachio pesto sauce. Although the pesto was tasty, the pasta was chewy and so filling that I took the rest of it home in a box. My fourth course was a vegan hazelnut and chocolate mousse that was made with coconut milk. It was very indulgent for what it was. Overall, despite the disappointment of receiving the olives as my first course, the longer wait time for my third course and the chewy texture of the pasta as well as the music being a bit too loud, I enjoyed most of my meal and the atmosphere of the restaurant. I was also pleased with how the restaurant staff catered to the dietary needs of some of my colleagues and me, even though we ordered from a set menu. One thing I feel that could be done to improve the experience is if there was gluten-free bread on offer. I would consider dining here again in the future, but I will order from the main menu next time. 4/5.
