Awesome small restaurant in Surry Hills. We brought 6 work friends who are traveling foodies and left absolutely delighted. Food is bold, creative, and interesting without getting too pretentious. Standouts for us included the palak paneer, short ribs, eggplant, and chocolate mousse. Each was a play on a more classic dish, made more interesting with global influences, like fried dough that perfectly complemented the panak, and jaam granita on the mousse. Cocktails included a nice mix of classics and more adventurous riffs with a variety of South Asian flavors. Wine options were few but thoughtful. Service was lovely, going out of their way to take care of our gluten-free friend. The chef even came out to say hello at the end of the evening. Highly recommend!
