Ol' Miner Steakhouse

I just ate the best filet I’ve ever had! I’m gluten intolerant and our server (Delanie) was knowledgeable and very pleasant. What a gem and a big surprise for a great meal after skiing at Created Butte. Getting back to my first statement…. I’ve eaten at Ruth’s Chris, Capital Grille, etc. and the filet I just had at Ol’ Miner was better. We also ordered an elk burger which was very good. Great ambiance.

Delaney was attentive, pleasant, and friendly. Got everything correct with my order and retained the information about my raw citrus allergy (a shocking number of servers automatically garnish my plate/drinks with lemon even after I tell them) throughout my meal. Kitchen got mid-rare exactly right, and both the prime rib and the mac & cheese were perfect. Prime rib is one size only, and WAY more meat than I expected for $30. Asked the bar to pour my drink light, it was perfect as well. Seats in booths are comfortable and space between tables was un-crowded. The only even potential issue for travelers might be that the decor is hunting themed, so there is taxidermy present. Ate without my husband, so not sure about gluten free options here.
