Pros: Wide selection of food Appreciated the labels on the lunch section Celebrated cinco de mayo with festive food Haddock with lobster sauce was phenomenal Loved that they had splenda on the table - is rare Chocolate fountain is a fun touch and I appreciated that the chocolate does harden on the fruit Server was friendly and attentive Even though the place was full it didn’t feel loud Loved the gluten free dessert section Cons: Entry door was unclear so my handicapped mother had to walk further than necessary I am visually impaired so the dimly lit dining room with no labels on breakfast or dessert made it very stressful on me to go up alone. Overly crowded must have made the cooks rush because waffles were under cooked and pancakes royally overcooked and no flavor in filling I wish there was more dietary friendly options such as turkey bacon

We only stayed for Dinner at the Old Salt eatery most recently. We were just coming back from the beach and didn’t want to wait for restaurants or park in Hampton Beach. And we needed a Gluten Free option. The place was busy, we were seated within a reasonable wait time. Although waited almost another 30 minutes until someone even greeted us. Turns out, the bartender was the one who had come to serve us. She noticed we were being ignored by a very young (and green) waitstaff. I say green, because the lot of them appeared to be inexperienced (I’ve over ten years experience in this industry) TABLES SAT AFTER US RECEIVED DRINKS AND FOOD BEFORE WE WERE GREETED. Our server (the same bartender through our entire experience) was rightfully overwhelmed. We got one drink, and she did not have ample time to check in on our drinks. She was stellar and tried her best. Food came out rather quickly, here in lies a continuation of our issues. I ordered the NY Strip Steak and asked to add Scallops. Which were forgotten, but they were fast to come back. My Strip Steak I requested Mid to Mid Rare. Steak came back well done. After having already made some complaints I was quite literally done and hungry and ate my well done steak. My scallops however were delicious. Expertly seared, and in a buttery garlic sauce that ultimately saved my steak experience. My girlfriend forgot her leftovers on the table, and not a couple minutes after we left. Bussers had already thrown it away by the time we returned. She enjoyed her food very much! I understand that we stayed after hours. But we arrived at 6:30. Were seated approximately 20 minutes later. And were ignored for half an hour. Simply not our fault. Overall, loved our Bartender/Server. But I cannot recommend Old Salt restaurant. Food was vastly over priced for the quality received and the service was nonexistent aside from our Bartender. (Kymberly if that is your name, We loved you! A well earned 25% tip.)
