The tavern isn't gluten-free,and they don't care.
My wife asked if they had a gluten-free menu and they said no. So she got a salad and told the waitress to make sure the dressing was gluten-free. Okay, so my wife missed the fact that the pecan chicken salad has crusted chicken (her fault). But after a conversation about being allergic, the waitress brought it out with the breaded chicken. Yes, she did take it off of the bill, and I ate my food. I paid my bill and on the way out, I asked to talk to the manager. After more than five minutes of the manager ignoring me, she had to walk past me. I told her I didn't want to get anyone in trouble, I already paid the bill and I didn't want anything. I just wanted to let her know that food allergies are real. She said she just started a week ago and pretty much just brushed me out the door. I didn't even complain about waiting over an hour and a half for a burger and a salad. Usually I only make good reviews and hardly complain, but after the disrespect I felt like I had to.
