Olive + Oak

First, the restaurant was basically empty with plenty of tables available (6 pm reservations) and they try to place us at the table right inside the front door rather than a nicer spot. I ordered a Grey Goose martini and was told that they only have “local vodkas.” Would have preferred the Grey Goose. Pork shoulder was terribly overcooked and accompanied by some sort of Japanese potato pancake that, while unique, was not very tasty. Gluten-free chocolate cake was just ok. Best item was crab dip appetizer. Someone else in our party remarked that their fish (Cobia) was cold. Olive & Oak is overpriced with mediocre food quality. Too bad…the service and atmosphere were good.

I was looking for a place to take my wife for her birthday (Dec. 26th), and after lots of searching I stumbled across Olive + Oak. My wife has severe food allergies and intolerances (gluten, dairy, soy, to name a few). They were incredibly accommodating from start to finish! The food was delicious and came out quickly, and the waitress was so helpful and knew the information we needed to keep my wife safe. They even had dessert options that suited her needs. We love it here and will come back very soon.
