I have a gluten allergy and informed our server right away. We had ordered drinks and went for the soup and salad, croutons on the side, I won't stop others from enjoying delicious bread items. Salad comes out with a healthy serving of croutons on top of the salad. She apologized and brought me a serving of salad, no croutons. We ordered soup, I have been told previously that at olive garden (from another server) that the minestrone is the only choice for no gluten. So that is what I ordered. My first plate did not have any of the shell pasta and I ate it, trusting the restaurant. I asked for a second plate and as I get my first spoonful I noticed the shell pasta. I feel my head getting foggy and my stomach is upset. I know I have had gluten somewhere. I address the server and she quickly brings her manager. He offered to change my soup and offered to toscana. I said yes but I quickly went down hill. We had to leave. The manager asked several times for my symptoms and seemed to not really believe in my feeling ill. I will not be returning to this place.
Update, Olive Garden had reached out via email and has been very generous and attentive.
