This is a real gem. Has a very high ratio of quality to price. Tastes like very expensive sushi but the price is good.
We talked to the owner. You can see an interview with him online (On Demand Sushi Interview with owner and entrepreneur Carey Parriott). He is very careful to make the rice properly, import it from Asia, cook it with the right amount of water for that particular batch of rice, etc. The rice is truly amazing in this sushi. I could eat tons of that sushi rice.
He also does some things differently from many of the cheap sushi joints in Vegas -- trying to make sushi better and give a better product. They have very fresh fish despite being an affordable sushi place.
If you get 5 or 8 items, (platter) you get 15% discount on all the rolls/sashimi/etc.
They have gluten-free non-GMO San-J tamari available at this location. I'm allergic to lots of soy tamari, but this non-GMO one is fine for me.
I believe the wasabi is also gluten-free from looking at the ingredients label (horseradish, corn, maltodextrin, and coloring, so not real wasabi). I think they have fresh actual wasabi available if you ask for it (might be an extra charge).
Some of our favorite rolls are salmon skin maki and Spicy crab. Everything we've had has been good. you can get rolls for under $5 so it's not hard to justify stopping by frequently.
