Literally never write negative reviews. Had the WEIRDEST experience there today. My friend was here from out of town. I have been raving about this place since she is gluten free and their desserts are objectively amazing. Since she just had surgery I RAN to Once Bitten to get an order in before they closed. Truly the ONLY thing the girl at the counter said was that I have a minute to decide. She gave the biggest attitude and was clearly annoyed. When my friends walked in a few seconds behind me it was the same "you have one minute" attitude. We learned that they didnt have gluten free that time of night since they were closing (fair) but she was beyond obnoxious and the two girls were literally mocking us as we left. Upon leaving my friends and I were talking about what an awful experience we had - and I then saw the owner outside who decided to berate us and said he heard us saying ridiculous things about the girl (saying that we wanted to smash something in a minors face???). The first thing that came out of his mouth (in a quite threatening tone) was that he reviewed video footage when he heard us talking outside, and he said they did absolutely nothing wrong & defended their attitude, & pressed us for what demeaning comments were made from them. We tried to walk away several times since he was getting quite heated, but he kept yelling at us to come back because he said we wanted to elevate to an owner. Truly an out of body experience that he was yelling at us on the street... But looking at other reviews, it seems their "closing procedure" and attitude are a common denominator.

Big thumbs up for the GF and regular donuts! Everyone was so nice, which was great since we were overwhelmed at the sheer selection! A touch pricy, but we were treating ourselves! If you're interested in the ice cream, they DO have gluten-free cones!

This is the best donut shop in the area. Hands down. These are not run of the mill donuts like at Dunkin or your local mom and pop shop. While this is a small, local business, these are gourmet donuts and elevated versions of the classics you might expect to see going viral on a celebrity's instagram or tiktok. Think Crumbl or Sprinkles but for donuts. We always pick them up when we have guests in town to impress, and they do their job. More than one person has mentioned the donut shop we bought from after their trip. Our household favorites are the creme brulee (cream filled with carmelized sugar top) and the cronut (croissant donut). The kids love any of the chocolate donuts. The donuts are slightly more expensive than your regular shop, but its completely worth it. You can taste and feel the difference in quality. Note some of these donuts can be intimidating to eat. For example, the devil dog is true to its inspiration with a split chocolate donut with a cream filling and then a whipped top that make it about 2-3" tall. That's not a single bite affair. We've had luck giving kids a knife and fork but its always a mess. No matter how you eat them, every donut is delicious. The employees are always fast and helpful when navigating the 30+ options you might have. There are gluten free options if that is important to you. The shop is very cool, with a 50s diner vibe (chrome, vinyl seats, black and white checkered tile) with a grass wall setup with a rope swing for taking pics and posting to make your friends jealous. Our kids get a picture every time.
