One Coastal

Stopped in for a birthday dinner. The staff were very accommodating as my girlfriend was gluten free. We were the last reservation of the night and the staff made us feel at home and didn’t rush our experience. Get the pork chop, it’s cooked perfectly.

I was drawn to One Coastal for the small menu filled with fresh, healthy creative dishes where I could easily find something gluten-free (I eat clean). It was packed but I was able to find a spot at the bar and I’m so glad I did because not only did I get excellent service by the bartender, I enjoyed the company of the locals and shared lively conversation with them. When I asked the bartender if he would make me a mocktail that was refreshing yet not too sweet, he happily replied with options of fresh fruits and I chose grapefruit. Wow! It was like a magician because I got exactly what I asked for! The food? Phenomenal. And savored. I started with the gazpacho and it was so savory and delicious. Then I got the scallops (and it was a toss up between the scallops and the pork chop so I guess I gotta go back!). The scallops were perfectly prepared as was everything else. I love all the veggies, too! The atmosphere was rustic yet upscale sans pretentiousness. Very homey like a mini seaside retreat unto itself. It was so refreshing to take my time enjoying my drink and my meal in such a lively, relaxed positive enclave. No photos because I was thoroughly enjoying myself with such lovely people and delicious food. Easily joined the Clean Plate Club! I will most certainly be back. Highly recommend.
