Original Joe's

We have always enjoyed this Original Joe's in the past because of their attention to detail about my wife's severe gluten allergy. She has a very specific order that includes only ordering mashed potatoes as the other side dishes can not be assured of being contaminated. We ordered a pick up order and were specific about the extent of the allergy to discover at home that the mashed potatoes specific to her meal were covered in panko which are NOT gluten free. The remainder of the three meals we ordered had fries or were pasta so it was not a case of having multiple mashed potatoes and getting it mixed up. As she had ordered this exact meal multiple times in the past this panic addition to the mashed potatoes was a huge surprise. When we called to confirm the only form of make it better was being offered to re-make the meal. This solution would have been 20-30 minutes while our other three meals got cold at home or we didn't get to eat together as a family. We have a short list of places we order from do to this allergy and sadly it just became shorter.
