** Beware of this location if have severe allergies or food limitations**
I am vegetarian and gluten free (I know Im insufferable) and I ordered Brussels sprouts no bacon, but there was still pieces of bacon hiding in the appetizer. For me its no big deal, because I'm not allergic to meat, but i can’t imagine if this happened to someone who didn't eat pork for religious reasons. Still, as a vegetarian, I don’t want to have meat in my meal.
Next, I asked if I could get one of the vegetarian burgers made gluten free, and the server said yes.
Midway through my meal, the manager came by to apologize for my appetizer. Because of that incident, I wanted to triple check that the burger I was eating was gluten free.
The manager left and the server came back and said she forgot to check if it was actually gluten free, and the burger was actually not gluten free. It had the symbol on the menu so I mean we probably both assumed it was.
At the end, the compensated both the Brussel sprouts and my burger, and they gave us a $25 dollar gift card, which is all very appreciated.
While they probably deserve a 1 star for all this, the service was great and they did all they could to make it all up. I’m writing this because although my gluten allergy isn’t as moderate, there are some individuals with severe gluten allergies who would not be fine. Or religious people who can’t have bacon. I think they need to have a more thorough allergy procedure for a place with so many gluten free options.
