Osteria Villa Zuccaro

Wonderful service and meal. This is a very well run restaurant. We were greeted promptly with a smile and shown to a table. I eat gluten free (not celiac) and the waitress told me which meals they could make with the GF pasta (spaghetti or penne). I chose the penne with pistaccio cream and crispy bacon and my husband got the lasagna. We were both happy with each of our meals. We opted not to get dessert, but they looked amazing, glancing at our neighbors' selections. They brought us out a complimentary lemoncello shot. Very nice touch. We got a bottle of water and 1 glass of prosecco and the bill was $52. Very reasonable for Taormina.

After a long day of travel we were a walk in around 8:30pm. They kindly cleaned a table for 2 people right away even with as busy as they were. Our host/ server was great. I told him I needed to eat gluten free and he told me what they could do for me. We had the eggplant parm starter - gluten free (w/o the bread crumbs) / it was amazing!!! He even brought me over a toasted hot roll to start!!! I then had the Norma’s special with gluten free pasta. It was delicious. My only comment, which is neither negative or positive, but I believe they used off the store shelf pasta - BUT it was cooked to perfection and the dish was so del ious that it didn’t even matter!!! I would order this again and again!! My husband had the lasagna and it was to die for! Definitively a good choice for authentic and del ious dinner!!
