Oswego Grill - Wilsonville

What happened to the gluten-free options and great service? This used to be one of my favorite restaurants because they had a gluten-free menu with plenty of items to choose from, and I didn't have to go back and forth with a server. I find it embarrassing to have to make a fuss about my order being safe for me to eat. We recently met up with friends for brunch and had a disappointing meal. The server wasn't knowledgeable about their gf options, and my choices were very limited. I ordered the arugula salad and was really disappointed with it. I appreciate wild greens, but these were too bitter. The dressing was unpleasantly sour, and the chicken was dry. I found it unpalatable. The other meals were hit and miss. The service was poor; not only was she unknowledgable, but nobody came to check on us, though the restaurant was pretty empty. It was such a poor experience after telling our friends that it was a great place to dine.

Gluten free options. Delicious every time.

Gluten free? Perhaps not… Our server said we could just ask her about if an item could be prepared gluten free. But that is a long and tedious process, and sets the customer up for disappointment. It would be nice if it was clearly marked on the menu instead. While she assured me the french fries were gluten-free, the intestinal experience I had after eating them would suggest otherwise. Eater beware! That said, the food was delicious. Our server may have been new, she was forgetful and not attentive. However I truly appreciated the restaurant manager going to each table to check in and make sure the food was to their liking. Hence the three stars instead of a lower rating. Hopefully he will read this and make the dining experience better for gluten-free eaters!
