Ottawa Valley Coffee Almonte

OVC makes absolutely amazing coffee that gets you going through the day. The servers here are also absolutely wonderful people. I am so happy to see this place becoming so popular amongst the locals. I've been witnessing this place grow since the beginning, and the evolution has just been so beautiful. I 100% recommend this place to those who really need a pick me up. The pastries here are really delicious and this place is good at separating the ones that are gluten and gluten-free/vegan for all you celiacs out there. Definitely recommend trying out their peppermint mocha latte and their lemon bars.

What a great little gem, I wouldn't say it was a hidden gem since it was busy. Love the decor, it has some real personality. As a family with dietary restrictions, it was great to see they had some treats that were safe to eat (gluten free and vegan). The brownie had just the right amount of chocolate fudge and sweetness. The nanaimo bar has the right layer ratios and sweetness. The turtles bar was just delicious. The iced cappucino, mocha, and hot chocolate (oat milk) were very creamy and not overly sweet, a nice contrast to some shops which are over the top with the sugar content. The chai latte was perfect with not too much foam. The service was great. Quick, attentive (always a concern when you have dietary restrictions), and polite. This is a must visit the next time we are in Almonte.
