We recommend! We celebrated my great aunt's birthday here at the end of August and had a great time with delicious food and good wine. All 14 guests really enjoyed themselves, which was definitely due to the very nice and competent staff. I also received very friendly advice in advance and everyone made sure that we had a great and unforgettable evening. The restaurant organized two small bouquets of flowers and a Sacher cake and decorated the table very nicely, including white tablecloths and menu cards created especially for us. In addition to the classic Austrian dishes, we also cooked vegan and gluten-free dishes. Really great! Many thanks to the entire Ottenthal team for this successful evening!

Good service, great atmosphere, but average and expensive food. My impression it's a trendy hipsters place, my partner said it's a tourist trap. We took a menu with soup, schnitzel and strudel, only schnitzel was good, fresh and soft. Pumpkin soup was tasteless, my grandma would definitely cook better. Strudel also had absolutely plane sugar-free taste, but it came with cream, so I could finish it. On top of all they serve vegan gluten-free beer (never tried this before). It has nice yeast flavor and 5.3% of alcohol, however it felt like 0% without any bitterness, so I'd prefer something more common (hey, we're in Germany!). So unlike many other reviews we wouldn't recommend this place if you're visiting Berlin and looking for some local food.
