Outback Steakhouse

We've eaten at many Outback Steakhouse locations over the years and have always enjoyed the food, especially the gluten-free options. As someone with celiac disease, I really appreciate that Outback offers gluten-free choices, and the gluten-free Thunder from Down Under dessert is fantastic. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst Outback experience we've ever had. We were never brought the complimentary bread, our drinks took an unusually long time to arrive, and our salads came out only a couple of minutes before our entrées. My gluten-free salad had to be sent back three times because it repeatedly came out with croutons. That's not just frustrating—it's a serious issue for someone who cannot eat gluten. While our waitress was pleasant, there was no sincere apology for the delays, the missing bread, or the repeated mistakes with my order. We even overheard the table next to us being offered $10 off because of the poor service and long wait, yet despite experiencing the same issues (and more), nothing was ever said to us. Mistakes happen, but what was most disappointing was the complete lack of accountability or concern. A simple apology or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. We expect much better from a restaurant we've always enjoyed.
