Cafe good, service is quick. A decent choice on the menu. Only issue I am gluten free due to coeliac allergy. They don't have any gluten free bread . Despite the petrol station about 40 steps from the kitchen selling Schar gluten free bread which is very good.

So, if you want really good food and you like climbing celebrities try the café at Outside in Hathersage. Alex Honold (Free Solo) and Tommy Cauldwell (Dawn Wall) have both had breakfast here. Local climbing celebrity Johnny Dawes is a frequent visitor too. The food is excellent and the 'choose what you have' breakfast is famous in The Peak District. Friendly staff, dog friendly, all the vegan/veggie/gluten free stuff is available. You're in a village in The Peak, in a great café and there's a shop downstairs that caters for a gentle walk or a Himalayan expedition or anything in-between. What's not too like?
