Over The Moon Cafe

This is our second time going here for our anniversary. There was about 4 years between visits, but it was just as wonderful as the first time. Service is great and the ambiance is romantic and intimate! The menu is smaller, but that does not limit the delicious dishes and drinks to choose from. They have a lot of options for people who don’t drink, are gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian/vegan. I can guarantee we will go here again in the future. Pictured is the Ribeye and the Angel Hair Arrabiatta with shrimp added.

This is a cozy restaurant on Tacoma's colorful Opera Alley has some delicious food in a quiet, yet classy, ambiance. Our server was very kind and the food was top notch. I enjoyed the Jumbo Shrimp (sautéed jumbo shrimp in white wine & butter sauce w/ lemon, shallots, Italian parsley, and red pepper flakes) as well as the Angel Hair Arrabiatta (organic Giallo pomodor- ini sauce with fresh garlic and red cherry tomatoes, tossed with angel hair, garnished w/ fresh basil). The shrimp was sauteed to perfection and quite flavorful. The Angel Hair was packed with pesto flavor and I think I ate the entire dish in less than 5 minutes it was so good. My friend and I shared the Turtle Pie which was plenty for two people (and quite excellent if you are a chocolate lover). I think our favorite thing here though was the Crab Bisque (a rich and creamy tomato broth, a touch of tarragon & finished w/ fresh white pepper). Absolutely perfect! Opt for the bowl over the cup as it is so good you'll want to lick the bowl clean. This restaurant also has clearly defined vegetarian, gluten free, and vegan options if those things interest you. It really is a spectacular find!
