Ovest Via Ristorante

We went to Ovest Via for my birthday last night! OMG, the best I’ve had in ages! Husband had Fettuccine Alfredo. The pasta is made fresh and he loved everything about it. I have celiac and usually accept what I can get at Italian restaurants. Little did I know that the Gluten Free pasta is also made fresh! It was unbelievable. The flavor, texture, muah! I thought I would have to settle for just gelato for dessert, but no. They served me the most amazing cake with a scoop of vanilla gelato. My hubby and I were in heaven, so delicious! The service, top notch.

I'd been wanting to try out Ovest Via for weeks,and it did not disappoint. The squash appetizer was delicious and beautiful. I had the Chicken Parmesan alla Vodka. It was the best Chicken parm I've ever eaten. The pasta with the vodka sauce was great. My friend got the Bianca pizza with the gluten free crust. It was so good that we worried they had mistakenly given her a regular crust! Our server assured us it was gluten free, so she had a second slice. The next day she told me she didn't get sick, so that makes it the best GF pizza crust she'd ever had! Our only issue was that the server seemed new to his job. He wasn't able to answer our beverage questions, and never brought my friend her bottled water. Otherwise he was attentive and friendly.

The food is unimaginably delicious!! Handmade pasta from flour imported from Italy. All pasta except lasagna can be made gluten-free! (Who ever thought you could have authentic Italian food that was gluten-free?!) Boris, the manager, was on-hand, accessible, entertaining, and fabulous! Chris, our server, was knowledgeable about the food and wine pairings. We had a large group and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
