Oyama Japanese Restaurant

Outstanding family run restaurant which I’ve been coming back to for 33 years. The quality and consistency of the food is fantastic and the service is excellent. We are greeted like family every time and Jessica always remembers our favourite drinks and dishes. Head chef, DaShan, takes much pride in the quality of his food and service. My Mum is coeliac and they always cater to her needs with delicious, fresh, gluten free options. Their signature “Oyama Hand Roll” (pictured) is a must have - good luck stopping at just one!! Their Japanese special fried rice with pork belly is another must try. The teppanyaki bar is a lively and entertaining experience. The grilled Moreton Bay bugs or prawns in garlic butter and signature mustard sauce will leave you wanting to lick the bowl, they’re so good. I’ve lived in Japan, and I can honestly say that Oyama’s is the best Japanese restaurant I’ve found in Australia.

Absolutely loved our birthday celebration dinner experience. From the extremely helpful reception to our needs for Gluten Free at the time of booking, to the great service upon arrival, the sensational food, the tremendous banter from the chef and staff, did I mention the bloody awesome food and the hilarious antics with the flying food. What else can I say - FANTASTIC. Such a great dining experience.
