My first time at Plea was this August 2024. I signed up for a single day, including an overnight stay and a surf lesson, and ended up staying two nights for two surf lessons.
- Things to fix, sooner rather than later: if it's considered a "surf cult" spot or for people who might be sporty, it would be necessary to improve the breakfast and lunch/dinner options. The food is poor. I was surprised that for breakfast you have the option of turkey/cheese + cereal and don't have a single egg, an omelet, ham, avocado... Not to mention allergens/intolerances/gluten-free/lactose-free... But anyway, if you have a surf lesson later, you'd better go to the supermarket and buy something else to go with the breakfast Plea provides.
- In the women's rooms, the only thing I'd highlight is the central air conditioning; they turned the air conditioning on full blast on the last day, and it was impossible to stay there. Otherwise, I thought the setup was fine.
- In the girls' restrooms, there's NO HAIRDRYER or BODY WASH. Of the 5 available restrooms, 2-3 had doors that didn't fit the door frame, so you couldn't lock yourself from the inside because the door wouldn't even close. But the hairdryer is deadly, especially at night... what do you do with your hair?
- It's true that check-in takes forever since there's only one person there, because they have to attend to all kinds of guest needs (taking them to their rooms, answering phone calls, arranging board and equipment rentals, booking lessons, etc.). You wait a long time for someone to help you, or it often seems like no one's there because you haven't seen anyone there for a while.
- The staff was very friendly, I have no complaints, they're friendly, speak a language, and have smiles on their faces. Okay.
- The building itself is very modern and easy to find once you're inside. It has cool spaces for teleworking, relaxing on the sofas, etc. And the parties they throw really end at midnight, and they kick everyone who isn't part of Plea out the door, so you can sleep well afterward.
- The class teachers are charming, very cool. You can tell they're familiar with the subject and are very encouraging. They offer pretty good explanations, have the option to answer questions, and are very approachable. 5/5 for them.
