A fantastic hotel. The location is ideal for exploring different parts of Cantabria: close to the beaches and 20 minutes from Santander, Suances, Santillana... The Palace is beautiful, and the renovation they've done to transform it into a hotel is ideal and very thoughtful. The rooms are luxurious (we requested a single room, and it was a very spacious room with a fully equipped bathroom, including a whirlpool tub). Plus, we could see the imposing entrance to the Palace from there. There's parking, so it's no problem if you're traveling by car. Access to the town from the highway is quick and easy, and the hotel is located right on the entrance curve, so you can't miss it. As for the breakfast buffet, it was very complete and included many homemade pastries (which speaks volumes about the accommodation). Since I have celiac disease, they offered me a good variety of products and explained what I could and couldn't eat from the other options. A highly recommended, charming hotel where you're treated very well. For all this, we were surprised that it wasn't packed with guests.
