Panacea

Me and a few others were just walking around Wiscasset when we saw this place and decided to stop for lunch. We ordered the Knotty Buoy, Landlubber, and Clam Chowder. The flavor combinations were creative and well-executed! We didn't even realize the clam chowder was gluten free until afterward--it's that good. The service was excellent, the owner was super friendly and gave us some great tips on stops for the rest of our vacation in Maine. Fun and quirky vibe to the place too, loved all the nautical woodwork and captain-themed decorations.

Was craving clam chowder and Panacea delivered. The place has a homey, eclectic, and unique vibe. Service is pleasant and welcoming. Now, I'm not a fan of gluten-free food, but I was pleasantly surprised. The clam chowder was incredibly good despite being gluten-free, and so is the grilled cheese sandwich with bacon. This place also had vegan options. I'm definitely coming back for more and for the clam chowder!

This place was awesome! I went in there craving a bowl of clam chowder, and ended up getting two sandwiches and chowder. I’m gluten free, so usually things are pretty limited for me, but they had INCREDIBLE gluten free bread as an option as well. The sandwiches was some of the best I’ve ever had, especially their pickles and homemade beet slaw. The chowder was also A+, and this is coming from a born and raised Mainer who has had a lot of chowder. Will be coming back for sure!
