Paraxenos Restaurant

Nice place, in the center of Skiathos. Good food, especially the octopus in broad bean sauce and the aubergine millefeuille. Thanks must be given to the owners who reported the presence of gluten on the menu, which is not a given on this island. Good value for money. Perhaps the bottle of carbonated mineral water is too expensive (7 euros). I will definitely return.

We visited the restaurant with our 4 year old celiac daughter after reading other reviews in Find me GF app and we strongly recommend it. The waiter (we were served by a very nice young lady) was very knowledgable and attentive, relaying our questions to the chef. She was very transparent about one particular dish where they used a bit of mustard which was labelled as "might contain traces of gluten". We ate there only GF dishes three times, without any symptoms at all. We had grilled bream, grilled squid, octopus, shrimps saganaki and lamb kleftiko (this was the one with the mustard which we decided to try after all the second time). The side fries were cooked in a separate fryer. With the bill we received some shots of nectar for the kids, on the house, which they confirmed was labeled GF. All in all we were very happy we could safely share with our daughter the authentic taste of Greece.
