Parker John's BBQ & Pizza

I recently was diagnosed with celiac disease and haven’t been able to dine out anywhere for months. We’ve dined here before but I had to stop going out due to my allergy. My husband was told that Parker Johns was celiac friendly. We went for lunch today roughly 1:15 and there was about 10 tables in the whole restaurant. When we arrived I asked for an allergen menu and was told they didn’t have one. Then I asked to speak with a manager to figure out what foods on the menu I could eat and the host never grabbed him so I had to ask our server after waiting approximately 10-15 minutes for him. Then when the manager did come there was very little communication about my allergy, severity, cross contamination, etc. I didn’t feel like I was given the time or attention that would make me feel comfortable dining here again with celiac disease. Putting that aside we were also disappointed in the service. Typically things come out of the kitchen quickly when we’ve dined in the past but unfortunately this time it took approximately 45 minutes for us to get our food. The table that was next to us that sat down after we ordered had started on their second plate of AYCE wings by the time we received our first plate. We didn’t get to enjoy the AYCE part of the meal because the first plate took so long to come out that we couldn’t wait for another set to be put in (and wait another 45 minutes??) Also just to note that we spent well over an hour and a half at a not busy time in the restaurant. All in all, we love Parker John’s but this was a really disappointing experience, especially considering that past ones have been so much better.

Wonderful brisket sandwich. They have gluten free rolls!
