Parkview Hotel Alexandria

Large well appointed two storey restaurant/bar, that is the regular 'local' for many. AMBIENCE: Really friendly, warm and homely feel. Folks hanging out drinking and eating outside, in wheelchairs, with dogs, prams etc. It's got a super friendly neighbourhood vibe. Lovely flower arrangements, nice timber finishes etc on the inside. This would be great if the weather was horrible, as there's loads of undercover seating: in and outdoors, fitting groups of 30+ easily. STAFF: Super helpful and attentive. Upon entering we were warmly welcomed and invited to eat outside, upstairs or in the front area, which was great. Upstairs has table service. Downstairs...you can order at the bar. FOOD: Great selection of roasts, schnitzel, salads, pork belly, nachos and other pub grub. They're aware of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian needs and intolerances. They had really flavoursome, well cooked, high quality gluten free pork belly and nacho's and they also had gluten free 'surf and turf' on the menu. OVERALL: Highly recommend and will be back.

Our absolute favourite local pub. I couldn’t recommend this place more. This pub is why I love Alexandria, the staff and people feel like you are in a close knit community and are always welcoming to new faces! It’s really nice being in an inner west pub that remembers your name and says hi when you walk by. They were also so accomodating when I found out I was coeliac, ordering in gluten free beers and checking in with me to make sure they were the right ones. So thoughtfully and considerate! Cannot recommend this place more!
