We went to buy Santiago cakes and asked if there were any gluten-free cakes (we didn't know that all Santiago cakes are gluten-free). That is why they gave us the normal one (gluten-free) and one of 1/2 kg (with gluten) when we really wanted the same size and we did not know that it was such a quantity, in order to sell us that large cake and not offer us two cakes from Santiago normal. Because if we had known, we would have bought two identical cakes! Since half of my family are celiacs! We left things at the store to pick them up later. When we arrived to pick it up, we decided to buy another cake and try to exchange the 1/2kg cake for a normal one. They told us no, it couldn't be changed. We offered to buy something else to be able to equal the price difference between both cakes since it was a shame to throw away such a large cake because we wouldn't be able to eat it. They told us that it was not exchanged and that she did not know how to return it with the box. In addition to all this, we also noticed that the 1/2 kg cake had a recent expiration date... we weren't going to be able to eat it. So be careful when buying cakes there because no matter how much you want, they do not allow you to exchange them with a ticket or even without leaving the cakes from the same establishment.

The best gluten-free almond cake in Santiago When I don't have time to make it, I buy it here. I have read a review from a person who says that the cake is burnt, if you were from Santiago you would know that it is not burnt, it is toasted, and that it is not It is hidden with powdered sugar, that's how the recipe is, from the photo it shows, it is not burnt, it is toasted, the sugar, egg and almond gives that typical color of the almond cake of this city. But if you prefer the ones around you that have flour, it means you have no idea what a good cake is. I have nothing with this pastry shop and I hope they have set up another one closer to the new area of Santiago.
