Pattycake Bakery

I don't know if it's just me, or if it's because I'm blessed to live in Cleveland, but after visiting this bakery 2-3 times over the years, I feel like the bakery items just aren't very good. Cleveland Vegan in has Pattycake outdone by miles, Vegan Doughnut Company, also very good, there's several out of home vegan bakeries that have pop-up shops in Cleveland that are also splendid. The Sweets Geek in Willoughby even makes all of their products vegan and gluten free and allergen free are very tasty. Lastly, my favorite, Evexia Cafe in Aurora, where I purchased my vegan wedding cake was marvelously done. I hate to sound negative, but ultimately this is a negative review. Pattycake's bakes may have been good back in 2010 when there were not other options, but since then, the vegan world has expanded and I feel like Pattycake isn't meeting the mark.

Pattycake has been my partner and my favorite bakery spot since we discovered it years ago. My go-tos and the cranberry orange muffins and their cookies, but they have a different cake every time we go in and those are really good as well! We just got married and they did a FANTASTIC job on the desserts. We ordered their gluten free truffles, four types of cookies and a custom wedding cake. We ran out of cookies in the first 45 minutes of the event, so we definitely should have ordered more!!!! We had 3 gluten free guests and the truffles didn't last very long either-- even the people who could have gluten were enjoying them The cake was so so gorgeous and everything I asked for. They were super accommodating to food allergies and helped guide us to our ultimate decision-- lemon cake with strawberry frosting and strawberry preserves. We really love this bakery! We're getting photos developed now, but we'll upload more pictures when they come in!

Why do you offer gluten free options if you literally do not put effort into them? Gluten free cookies and cupcakes tasted like dog treats.
