Despite living in Manchester and visiting town often, I hadn’t visited here before last night. I had expected it to simply be a peaky blinders themed pub (which would still have entertained me as a fan) however this place is built beautifully. There are character themed booths the size of full rooms, but open so as to be inclusive of the lively atmosphere. The food seating area is on a mezzanine, as is the live band which were brilliant. For £35, the brunch is worthwhile for the drinks although I’m glad I wasn’t anymore hungry as the platter wasn’t the most lavish. However everything tasted great and was presented well. The only thing I’d change is the slider buns which had been toasted therefore were a bit messy to eat, especially with the condiments.
Our host, Sophie, was brilliant. Such a good personality and very accommodating (and not just because we had a vegan, veggie and gluten free group).
Would definitely recommend here for a humble yet satisfying celebration or a cosy drink with friends.
