We stopped here for lunch. My daughter and I have celiac disease. They have a small gluten free menu with salads, grilled shrimp, snow crab, grilled mahi mahi, grilled chicken, and ribeye steak. The sides were corn on the cob, sugar snap peas, broccoli and new potatoes. THEY DO NOT HAVE A DEDICATED GF FRYER so if you have Celiac disease do not order anything fried. Our server was Kyle. He was very accommodating and made sure the manager on duty visited our table. The manager was also kind and he explained how they wear latex gloves, keep the food separate, and bring it out separately from the other food. My husband and son had the snow crab. They said it was ok. My daughter enjoyed her grilled shrimp. She and I thought the sides were very bland. There was zero seasoning on them. My mahi mahi was extremely dry and tough. When our server asked how we liked our food I was honest and told him my mahi mahi was dry and chewy. The on duty manager came to our table again. He offered to make me another mahi mahi fillet. They brought my new fillet out. The fillet had a glaze on it, non gf rice and sugar snap peas were on the plate. Our server came to check on us. We all realized the entire plate was not gluten free. Our server apologized profusely. The on duty manager came back to our table. He offered to make another fillet or an entirety different dish. By this point, everyone else was finished eating. I was ready to go and be done. The on duty manager did not charge me for my meal. He threw in a free gf flourless chocolate cake. That was good. It is small and I would say it had the consistency of a cheesecake or fudge. The customer service from our server and the on duty manager was top notch. They did their best to accommodate our needs with celiac disease. The kitchen was not so much. None of us enjoyed our food enough to want to come back.

I’ve always loved Peg Legs - great deals on oysters throughout the week and delicious food. We like to sit at the bar when it’s busy and don’t want to wait for a table. They took my gluten allergy very seriously and had a separate gluten free menu and had a manager come talk to me to assure me. Highly recommend!

My family and I went here for lunch. We asked to sit downstairs and when I said I had a gluten allergy we were told I could sit downstairs but no allergies are accommodated. The hostesses seemed annoyed that I had an allergy as well. I was incredibly surprised because of their gluten free menu (which is only offered in the top half of the restaurant) and their amazing reviews with their gluten free accommodations. I wanted to pass this on to the rest of the GF community.
