Perk Up Kitchen

I was in town briefly from Denver looking for a breakfast spot that truly accommodates gluten-free, and Perk Up Kitchen blew me away! The pecan cinnamon pancakes were unbelievable—fluffy, rich, and perfectly balanced. The gluten-free muffins? Hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Everything is made in-house, even the jam—fresh, flavorful, and a total game-changer. Our server, Frenchi, was gracious, fun, and made the experience even better. Can’t recommend Perk Up Kitchen enough—I’ll be back every time I’m in town!

Tried to eat breakfast here as they say they are gluten friendly. The glitch came when I asked if they could cook food in oil instead of butter as I am also dairy free. Other places do this easily without an issue. Waiter was very nicely asked kitchen staff who seemed to refer him to the owner who said NO. I am both dairy and gluten sensitive but not allergic. We left without eating and I am very disappointed in a small local establishments inability to try and make accommodations.

We love Perk Up Kitchen! We just moved to Bloomington and have been twice. Both times, the food was fresh and outstanding in quality (they make their sauces in house and you can tell!) and service was quick, thorough, and personalized. No mistakes. I’m also gluten free and they were so respectful and explained my options to me. Best gluten-free pancakes I’ve ever had. We will be back for sure!
