Phat Boyz Smokehouse and Kitchen

Went here for my very first experience which was pretty excited. I also have coeliac so my options are pretty limited, i ordered pork bites since it was a gluten free option. And was told that they have some but won't give it to me as they are saving it for during the week. So random and off putting. I was upset at this and went for another option, the option i chose was disappointing anyway. So overall my experience here has genuinely been not exciting, not tasty and good. If i had the option to try pork bites again i definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go to phat boyz sorry.

I visited on Sunday night with my family and it was alright at first. The tables felt dirty but that’s the least of my concerns. We ordered and were thankfully informed that the fries weren’t gluten free (my sister and I are coeliac) and we were given other options. This was a major disappointment since I’d driven 40 minutes just for the loaded fries, but stock runs out. It happens. We were understanding and were offered a burger with a gluten free bun. This seemed like a decent replacement. There was a $3 price difference with the loaded fries being $27 and the burger being $24 I think. Not the worst so I didn’t bother asking about a refund. However the burger we received was worth FAR less than a $27 replacement. There was no side because they were out of regular fries, the burger was sloppily made, and the bun was so hard that I couldn’t even break through the top with my acrylic nails. Inedible. I took maybe 3 bites of the whole thing and my sister couldn’t even eat hers. It was a disgusting waste of nearly $30, with no compensation offered. Not even a free drink with the meal as there was no side to the burger. I’ve eaten here multiple times before and they’ve NEVER disappointed as much as my recent trip. The service wasn’t good either. We were waiting nearly 15 minutes on a soft drink that was ordered the same time as everyone else’s, and there weren’t even any napkins or cutlery on our table.
