Pici (Wan Chai)

✅️ Includes reviews about taste and service *️⃣ My wife loves pasta, but she has a gluten allergy, so eating pasta is impossible at most restaurants. However, Pici has a separate gluten-free menu. During my trip to Hong Kong this time, I saved it to Google Maps in advance and visited it. 🍝 The menu I ordered was Caserecce Pomodoro, Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe 1️⃣ Taste - Usually, noodles or fusilli made with gluten-free ingredients are really delicious, even considering that the texture is not as good as the regular ingredients. The sauce on both menus was really delicious, so I thought it would taste even better if I ate it with regular noodles. Parmesan cheese powder is provided separately for each menu item, but Caserecce Pomodoro was even more delicious with parmesan added. 2️⃣Service - Although not pictured, they served 5 slices of baguette and a separate sauce of olive oil and balsamic sauce as an aperitif, making it a perfect appetizer. And even though I visited during a busy lunch hour, they were friendly and came right away when I finished my water and refilled it without any inconvenience. While traveling in Hong Kong, I also ate traditional foods such as dim sum and Peking duck, but pici seems to be a good alternative for those who are tired of such dishes. For reference, it is operated as a chain throughout Hong Kong, so it would be a good idea to check if there is a pici restaurant in the area you are traveling.
