Pico Bistro Tamarindo

I have been to Pico several times, the atmosphere is very nice, the guys are very friendly but the food always takes a long time to come out of the kitchen. They brought us the coffee and when the food arrived we had already finished the coffee for 5 minutes, when really I would have liked to have it with my breakfast. Last time I ordered some gluten free pancakes and it was the poorest dish I ate...it had 4 slices of strawberries and not even half a spoonful of chantilly. It's not a cheap place so they could take more care of what they put on the plate from my point of view. I have been a chef for 20 years and I pay attention to these things.

Delicious, safe and accommodating for allergies. We ate here several times - 5 people with 3 allergies. Celiac (gluten) and alpha gal (dairy and mammal). Everyone loved their food - never a bad dish. We had casado, gallo pinto, grilled chicken and fish, pasta, salad, fruit, mojitos, and more. All diets - regular, gluten free, dairy free, and vegan. Everything was great. Felt safe and no one had an allergic reaction. Beachfront patio has a great chill vibe and good music. Shade trees and umbrellas during the day and mellow string lights at night. Prices were reasonable and middle of the road for Tamarindo. One of our favorite places in Tamarindo
