Piehole Wood Fired Pizza PSL

Since moving to Port St. Lucie from NJ 3 years ago, I’ve been searching for pizza that can even compare to pizza from back in the Northeast. Today, I found it. Piehole has a water filtration system that allows them to emulate New York water. They use this water to make their dough. It was like I was transported back to NJ eating pizza at my favorite local pizzeria. As an additional bonus, my wife has celiac disease and therefore ordered a gluten free pizza. It was the best she’s ever had. Great service and atmosphere! Nothing in the area even remotely compares!

First there were a total of four people outside on the patio and a handful maybe 7-8 people inside eating or drinking. Three waitress. When we walked in, the hostess said she would be right with us. We waited a few minutes but it was ok because she greeted us. We saw a booth was open and we asked for the booth. She tried to get us to take a high top which was in the bar area and not a good spot. So we said we would rather have the booth. Reluctantly she said ok and proceeded to clean it off. I guess she really didn’t want to. We sat down, after a few minutes a server came to take our drink orders. We had never been there so we were checking out the menu when she returned for our order. We weren’t ready so I told her it was our first time in so she said she would come back. She never did. We sat there approximately 15-20 minutes. Looked around and didn’t see her, then a few gentlemen came in, sat at the bar and she reappeared for their drink orders. Then she went down to the other side of the bar chatted with another couple. We kept looking to get her attention but she never acknowledged us. She came within 8’ of us to clear off a table I made sure she saw me. Ignored again. We waited another 5 minutes and gave up. We went up front to pay for our sodas and she was at the cash register. Her excuse was she was tending the bar. We will never go back. And their Gluten Free pizza is cauliflower crust. There are so many other options. Gross.
