Pier Eight Bali

We asked about gluten free options here and were told they don’t have any. We stayed for a Long Island Tea and it was the weakest, watery cocktail we have ever had. I do not recommend this place.

A group of us had an afternoon tea at Intercontinental and we can choose to have it at the Lobby Lounge or Pier Eight. We chose Pier Eight. It's a long walk to Pier Eight from the lobby. The setting is nice, pretty spread out so we can relax and chat without bothering anyone and vice versa. The drink order came pretty quickly but the food took a long while. The presentation of the food was very nice and the food tasted good - a few savoury (rice paper roll, a meat dish, etc) and sweet food (scone, a tart, chocolate cake, etc). Unfortunately for me, I require gluten free and there was no sweet food at all on mine. What a disappointment, I was looking forward to have a gluten free scone and a cake or two, but got none. The staff was friendly. The view was wonderful.
