Pinstripes

I attended a private birthday party on April 28th in ballroom A. The hostess knew of my gluten allergy and told me I could order something gluten free on the menu since the buffet that was being offered was not gluten free. I approached a server with my request and after confirming with the manager, I ordered a gluten free pizza. I was served a lovely pizza by the same server I had made the request with and began eating it. I was almost done with my third slice when it occurred to me that the pizza was not gluten free. I asked a friend to taste it and she said it was likely not gluten free. I felt so disappointed and scared because I knew what was going to happen to me as a result of eating this pizza. I informed the waitress and then a manager. He offered me the opportunity to file a report but I didn’t see the point, they were not offering me anything to make up for this mistake. I would like to inform Pinstripes of just how sick I got. For a little over 3 days, the stomach ache I had and general feeling of being unwell impacted me greatly. It is already no fun for those of us with food allergies to eat out. It is incredibly important for restaurant staff to be on top of things when a customer brings a food allergy to your attention. Please do better before someone suffers worse consequences than me.

Bistro has modern atmosphere with reasonable prices and special price offers. I had great flatbread with lobster & shrimp and chicken dumpling soup. My partner’s soup was not as warm as it could have been, and there were only three gluten-free options available on the menu. Nice music in the background and indoor bocce courts. Bowling lanes and several rentable conference rooms upstairs for various occasions.
