Pizza Belly Blairsville

First, our pizzas were delicious! No complaints there! My elderly mother in law who is 84 loves pizza but needs gluten free. Their choices are amazing and she thoroughly loved her pizza, so thank you! Our biggest complaint isn’t really Pizza Belly’s fault as they only lease the one space but the handicapped accessibility isn’t good. There are stairs only at the handicapped parking, no ramp. How’s that supposed to work? Way down on the other end of the shop strip, there is another handicapped parking w a ramp; however, to get to the other end at Pizza Belly, we had to move outdoor seating chairs from other establishments and carefully guide her through limited space to the restaurant. It was a bit much with a walker; I’m not sure a wheelchair would get through with all the tables in the way. No one wants to be the one causing a scene either, especially my sweet elderly mother in law. We almost didn’t try it because of this issue but she really wanted pizza. Please pass this on to the shopping area owners as a ramp on the other end by the handicapped parking (w stairs) obviously needs to be built. This community has many retired seniors who use walkers plus there are individuals with wheelchairs to consider. Accessibility is highly important for all. This didn’t reflect well for the area.

Came for a late Monday lunch. Got a cheese pizza for the kids, GF for my Celiac husband and me. We got boring at toppings, so I hope to try a speciality pie next time. Everything was quick, handmade, & delicious. Bonus: lots of drink options. Loved the green tea with honey. Pictured: everything we didn’t like. 😉
