Pizza Express

My wife and I went here while on holiday after visiting Cineworld nearby. I am gluten and dairy intolerant so it was great as they do gluten and dairy free pizza. The food was great and the service was great too. My only negative comment is from my wife who had to visit the toilet and said it wasn't really clean so I've had to knock a star off for that.

Pizza Express is often a safe place for celiacs, and Marina Pizza Express didn't disappoint. We were told upon arrival (walk-ins), there was a 30-minute wait for food, which was fine, and to be honest, the food took no longer than usual. It is a real shame that when ordering gluten-free, you are penalised with far less food than your non gluten free friends. Example- dough balls. Gluten free, you get 5. Gluten, you get 8. Pizza- gluten free you get about a 9-inch pizza. Gluten, you get more like a 14-inch!!! What really made our meal was our waiter, Liam, who was simply brilliant. I told him I was celiac, and he made me feel very comfortable and relaxed that the food would be safe and tasty. He was quick and polite with all our orders, and nothing seemed too much as others in the party asked for additional drinks and sauces, etc. Big thanks, Liam, you made our standard Pizza express meal a great experience.

Pizza express is certified by Coeliac UK, they provide gluten free pizza's that are very nice (however small to medium size only), they have gf dough balls and pasta dishes too. Gf peroni is available in bottles.
