Let me just start by saying: Wow. I didn’t know what to expect when I walked into this little pizza spot, but I’m already planning my next visit. I am not huge pizza eater, due to a gluten intolerance allergy, but I definitely will make an exception to indulge here.
The owner, who’s straight out of New York, brings all the swagger and passion you’d expect. I love that you can witness the pizzas being made as you wait for your slice. They have individual slices to go, whole pizzas, beer, wine, and roasted/baked chicken wings at reasonable prices.
The crust? Absolute perfection. Thin, crispy, with that perfect little char on the bottom, yet somehow still chewy in the middle. You can tell they’re serious about their sauce and cheese game too. Each bite was a perfect balance of tangy, gooey, and just salty enough to make me crave another slice before I even finished the first. The savory chicken wings are cooked to perfection, not too big and not too small in size.
The vibe is casual and fun-all the walls and tables are covered with vibrant colored 80s and 90s posters, with retro music playing in the background, transporting my brain to the fun pop culture I grew up listening to as a young kid.
If you’re looking for a taste of NY without hopping on a plane, this place is where it’s at.
