I was so hungry for lunch in Spitalfields but sadly my wife is gluten intolerant and so many places just couldn't give us a definitive answer, we discovered pizza union and more importantly Ita who served us. She was knowledgeable about gluten free pizza and the fact PU isn't celiac friendly and then we had a great PIZZA. Thankyou Ita you are superb... Id give you 6 stars but I'm not allowed :)

Really good pizza. Quick service. Great value for money, especially in London and they do gluten free pizza bases. Not suitable for celiacs though due to them cooking in the same pizza oven as the normal bases.

This was one of the first places I ate in London after I moved here over 6 years ago - it was cheap then and, surprisingly, still cheap when I popped in for lunch a few weeks ago. I got my pizza to take away and although they were pretty busy it didn't take long. Base was maybe a bit dry but the toppings were good quality (I had the meat pizza) and you can't beat the value. They also do gluten free bases now (which they didn't the first time I came), which is a plus for those who are intolerant.
