My wife and I ordered two medium pizzas and a garlic cheese bread for dinner (take-out). The pizzas we got were the Honey Jalapeno and the Super Funghi (customized: gluten-free with vegan cheese). We also had fresh garlic seasoning added to both pizzas. I had tried Pizzaiolo earlier this year and had been relatively happy with it (it was not amazing, but was definitely good), so I was wanting to try it again. My wife was also looking forward to having something that would accommodate her dietary needs, as the reviews for the gluten-free crust made it sound really good. Our order was ready on time, smelled good, etc. When we got home (just a couple minutes away from the restaurant) and tried the food, we were disappointed. My pizza was just okay, not really delicious or anything like that. The garlic cheese bread was okay, but was lacking good flavour and was not worth ordering again. My wife's pizza was worse - she said it had little to no flavour, tasted like cardboard, and did not have a great texture. We have had gluten-free, vegan pizza from some other restaurants and this was definitely not up to par with past experiences. Our two medium pizzas and garlic bread cost $67 and the total was $80 with tip. For this cost, we could have a good, fresh meal at a sit-down restaurant. Note that our meal was not awful. It just wasn't anything like what the company markets on their website - great, gourmet, well-made pizzas. Given that we were both really looking forward to this meal, and how much we spent on the food, it was quite discouraging. As such, we are not likely to eat here again and don't plan on recommending Pizzaiolo to others.

Was happy to find a pizza place that offers gluten and lactose free pizza which pleased our guests. They seemed to thoroughly enjoy their pizza. The rest of our order wasn’t outstanding but what was the downside was the exorbitant cost of our order. For a pepperoni pizza that was lacking in sauce and cheese, and chewy crusts, it was a disappointment for us.
