Recently, the Midland, Ontario pizza restaurant that had the best gluten-free, vegetable, and Feta cheese pizza in Midland became a disappointment.
In a small town with very few places in which I am able to eat the food, due to a gluten sensativity, I just added Pizzaville to the list of restaurants I nolonger enjoy.
I often have take-out meals with a friend who eats "regular" food, and who brings me dinners to eat together while I recover from an illness.
It was the only pizza restaurant in Midland, ON where we each really liked our own regular pizza choices.
The last few times, the toppings were different, inferior, even cheap tasting and very disappointing.
I thought maybe it was because I always chose gluten-free crust with Feta and vegetables on olive oil, that maybe they were having difficulties with a certain supplier.
But my friend who always has regular crust, with her usual meat and cheese toppings, also noticed a reduction in overall quality.
We gave them many chances in case the problem was temporary, but it doesn't seem like that's what's happening here.
We both feel that restaurants are costly enough, even pizza restaurants, that it doesn't make sense to keep wasting money on lousy food. For a few dollars more, we can order take-out from the Arch, Explorers Cafe, or Boathouse Eatery, and we aren't buying from a chain.
Sorry, Midland Pizzaville but you've just lost 25 years of my service and possibly lost a longer patronage from my friend..
