Plough

Lovely friendly at atmosphere , nice clean place and excellent food . I am a coeliac and they looked after me very well . The only downside was the coffee was not hot enough . Our waitress was very friendly and efficient at her job , her name Lola

We came to the plough as a party of 14 for pre Xmas lunch and we were very pleasantly impressed.The food was excellent with a few exceptions I.e.pate was not particularly nice and there was not enough sauce on the prawn cocktail,the main course which we all had various dishes of the menu was absolutely delicious and very good portion size and we found a chef who could actually cook vegetable’s properly ( not rock hard as we have experienced in other places) ,there was very varied menu of desserts all of which were delicious but I think the most praise would have to go to the staff,they were superb nothing was too much trouble , I had ordered a gluten free dinner but somehow unfortunately it hadn’t translated that way on the final list,no problem it was very quickly rectified without any fuss whatsoever. ,We were made to feel very welcome they were extremely efficient even though they were busy. It was our first time at the Plough and it most certainly won’t be the last . We will certainly recommend this pub for lunch to anyone.
