Pompeii's Pizzeria & Italian Eatery

Have been coming here for years. My son is gluten free & loves the gf pizza. But I noticed the last night ( and the time before) when we got our salad there was barely enough for 3 adults. Also the servers don't offer the fresh cheese anymore. I had to ask for some for my pasta. Just a tad annoyed

We had dinner with a friend last night and had an excellent experience. Our server was a fantastic young man who was attentive and friendly. I unfortunately didn't catch his name. My husband and I are gluten sensitive and he was very careful to ensure he requested the proper substitutes. The food was amazing, we especially liked the gluten free cheese bread. My husband loved his pizza and the size was very generous (we are from Canada where portion sizes seem to be much smaller, so I'm not sure what the expectation may be across Michigan, but compared to what we are used to, happily we had plenty of leftovers) If we are in Port Huron again, we will 100% return here!

We had Jake as our server and he was great! I am GF-intolerant and he did as best he could to make sure my dish was GF and he had a great attitude about him! Unfortunately, be careful if you are celiac or GF-intolerant. I had a reaction to the food as if I had eaten gluten. So, just beware. I had ordered the smothered chicken with GF pasta. The pasta didn't taste like GF pasta I have had in the past it tasted like normal flour pasta, plus there was no sauce and just chicken w/veggies with melted mozzarella. I managed a couple bites but I didn't want to risk it. The hubby gets extra leftovers! For a dish that's already $16.50 then an additional $3.00 it was a bit disappointing. I will say for unknown reasons Jake did take 10% off of our order as I didn't mention my concerns with the food at the time because it wasn't his fault and as stated above he had a great attitude and wonderful customer service work ethic! I feel like he's doing his best with what he's able to work with!
